An ever higher proportion of individuals mentioned a break as the most important non-essential purchase, ranking above leisure, electronics, and other pastimes, even during challenging financial periods.

Research conducted in recent months found that twice as many people are employing AI for travel arrangements compared to a year ago.

At present, 8% of those surveyed stated they use AI for ideas, up from 4% in 2024.

Young Travellers and Mental Health

Research additionally found that 25- to 34-year-olds were most likely to view a holiday as "important for their wellness".

A significant 90% of these individuals shared this opinion, compared with the eighty percent across all ages response.

Eco-Friendly Commitments

Young tourists were also more inclined to select a provider, hotel, or destination based on its eco-friendly policies.

Approximately one in five of 25- to 34-year-olds valued environmental factors, compared to one in ten overall.
