Two Individuals Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the death in prison of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
